Oshawa man charged with Cobourg store thefts

An Oshawa man faces charges after two businesses in Cobourg reported thefts.
Cobourg Police investigated the reports throughout June and July. They identified a suspect through in-store surveillance footage. Investigators arrested a 31-year-old Oshawa man, who they did not name, on Aug. 27.
The man has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property. He’s since been released with conditions and will appear in court of Sept. 27.
