An Oshawa man is up on more than 200 charges after a rash of locker room thefts across Durham Region.

Locker rooms in various community centres throughout the Region had seen numerous thefts over the last few months. A man would walk into the room, break into lockers and steal all the contents. Any debit or credit cards he found were later reported used.

On July 13, Durham Regional Police arrested Jeremy Marcoux in connection to the thefts and fraudulent use of cards. He has been charged with a total of 207 offences including 15 counts of theft and 29 counts of fraud. Police did not specify what the other 163 charges were, nor did they share the circumstances of Marcoux’s arrest. He remains in police custody until a bail hearing.
