Oshawa woman charged after driving the wrong way and colliding with snowplow

An Oshawa woman has been charged with impaired-related offences after driving the wrong way and colliding with a snowplow in Vaughan Thursday afternoon.

York Region Police responded to the collision at Major Mackenzie Dr. W. and Vellore Woods Boulevard just before 2 p.m. Police investigation revealed the driver had been going in the wrong direction when she hit the plow.

Breath samples obtained from the 27-year-old determined the woman was over the legal .08 limit and was subsequently charged.

Her vehicle was impounded for seven days and the woman’s licence suspended for 90 days.
