Durham Outlook for the Needy is in desperate need of volunteers Thursday for both AM and PM shifts.

Thursday is the date for the charity organization’s annual golf tournament and most of Thursday’s regular volunteers will be participating in the tournament.

The Hunger Drive Charity Golf Tournament is being held at 4 Seasons Golf Club in Claremont.

All monies raised will help to support Durham Outlook’s New Soup Kitchen at 227 Simcoe St. S., Oshawa.

If you can help on either shift, please register using the shift hub or reply to the email to confirm your attendance.

“We appreciate all the help we can get on this day,” said Volunteer Co-Ordinator Kishola Levine.

Construction of the new facility is now complete; Durham Outlook served their first meal at the new facility March 10 and the group is raising funds to reduce the $650,000 mortgage required due to increased building expenses.

Your sponsorship will help ensure that the seniors, children, and other members of our community who rely on the kitchen on a daily basis will have a safe, secure place to go not only for a healthy meal but social interaction and support as well.
