The tentative deal struck between Ontario Tech University and its 281 faculty members is tentative no longer after both parties ratified the contract offer Thursday night.

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology Faculty Association (FA) put their stamp of approval on the deal – four days after the offer was made – and thanked the teachers, students and their “allies in the community” for their support throughout the two-week strike.

The university’s Board of Governors followed suit in announcing their support for the deal as well.

The key sticking point in the negotiations was workload but no details on the contract offer have been released by either side, nor information on what percentage of the faculty members voted in favour of the deal.

Classes and normal operations will resume on Monday, February 28.
