Pair of Oshawa residents arrested on drug and gun charges

Two people from Oshawa were arrested Thursday on numerous drug and gun charges after a police raid uncovered a gun with an over-capacity magazine and a quantity of drugs, police say.
Durham’s Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Bloor Street in Oshawa December 9. During the search police say they found the loaded pistol, cocaine and a quantity of cash, all of which were seized.
The two suspects were arrested on scene.
Jacob Dipoce, 23, of Oshawa, faces several gun charges including possession of a prohibited device, breaching firearms prohibition order, three counts of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
Kaitlin Leask, 24, of no fixed address also faces numerous charges such as breach of probation, two counts of trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
Both will remain in custody until their respective bail hearings.
