Racking up record sales during a worldwide pandemic was quite the selling point in bringing Shane Peever – the Managing Director of Cadillac Canada between 2019 and 2022 – back to Oshawa, this time as vice-president of sales, service and marketing for GM Canada.

“Shane brings a wealth of experience to the role, with expertise spanning 20 years in building customer relationships, strengthening brand reputation, and bolstering engagement with our Canadian dealers,” said GM Canada Kristian Aquilina. “His leadership at Cadillac Canada grew the brand’s reputation in the Canadian market, resulting in three consecutive years of record-breaking sales from 2020-2022.’

Peever left Cadillac in late 2022 to head up sales for GM Energy, where he built the brand’s sales team, dealer programs, and direct and e-commerce sales channels from strategy through execution and helped launch the Ultium home charging system last summer.

The home charging system provides backup power during a blackout and enables vehicle-to-home power usage.

Aquilina also praised Peever for his commitment to “fostering an inclusive, connected, and empowered team culture,” adding that he is confident the vehicle sales, service and marketing teams AT GM Canada “are in great hands.”
