Pedestrian dies in hospital following Highway 401 crash in Oshawa

A man has died in hospital following a crash on Highway 401 in Oshawa last night.
The OPP responded to a collision along the on-ramp from northbound Stevenson Road to westbound Highway 401 shortly before 8:30 p.m.
Police say a 22-year-old man from Scugog, Ont., was struck. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died. Officials have not released further details about the victim.
The middle and right lanes of Highway 401 westbound at Stevenson Road were closed until after midnight, while the left lane remained open. All lanes have since reopened to motorists.
At this time, investigators have not provided details on the circumstances leading up to the collision.
