Pedestrian pinned between two cars in Whitby

A 27-year-old man remains in life-threatening condition after being pinned between two cars last night (Aug 6) in Whitby.

Officers from the Central West Division were called to a home on Old Lake Ridge Road shortly before 9 p.m. after a vehicle struck a pedestrian.

The male victim was hit in the driveway of a residence and ended up being pinned between two cars.

The man was transported to a Toronto trauma centre where he remains in life-threatening condition.

Police say the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. There is no mention of what charges the driver may face.

Members of Durham Regional Police’s Collision Investigation Unit arrived on scene to conduct a thorough investigation which remains active at this time.
