Physiotherapist-in-training facing sexual assault, voyeurism charges at Oshawa clinic

A physiotherapist in training is facing charges of sexual assault after a patient came forward with allegations she was sexually assaulted on multiple occasions, with one of the assaults captured on video.

Central East Division officers from Durham Police responded Tuesday to Dynamic Balance Physiotherapy Clinic on Gibb Street in Oshawa after the victim, a patient at the clinic, reached out to police.

The woman said she was sexually assaulted on more than one occasion.  One of the assaults was captured on video.

Kiran Panninthodiyl Bhaskaran, 34, is charged with two counts of sexual assault and voyeurism. The Toronto man was released on a promise to appear.

Police are concerned there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to contact D/Cst. Dowdle of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2765.
