Pickering 14-year-old charged with gun possession, car break-in

A 14-year-old Pickering boy has been charged with possession of a pistol and breaking into a car.
Durham Police fielded a report of a suspicious Pickering Parkway and Glenanna Road. Investigators say a car owner spotted the suspect enter their car. The owner then confronted the suspect and called police.
Officers arrived and searched the boy. They claim to have discovered a pistol with an illicit extended magazine.
The teen is charged with possession of a loaded firearm, unauthorized firearm possession, and possession of a prohibited device.
