Olympia Richards of Pickering won $50,000 in INSTANT MAJESTIC

A bank branch manager and long-time lotto player scored $50,000 with INSTANT MAJESTIC and plans on using her new windfall to what else, plan a trip to Vegas.

Pickering’s Olympia Richards has been playing the lottery with OLG for decades and won $10,000 with the BIG SPIN in 2021. Three years later Richards, whop plays LOTTO 6.49, LOTTO MAX and a variety of scratch games, is back at the OLG Prize Centre to celebrate another big win.

“I was at home enjoying a cup of coffee when I decided to play my ticket,” she recalled. “I glanced at the ticket quickly and thought I had won $50. I looked again and thought maybe it was $500, so I went to get my stronger glasses. That was when I realized I had actually won $50,000!”

Her first thought to tell her husband to “hurry up” and get out of the bathroom, she said with a laugh. “I immediately starting shaking! All I remember is screaming with joy.”

“All we could do was stare at the ticket in pure disbelief. This year has had its challenges, so this win came at a very good time for us. Winning has been amazing and I am full of gratitude. I know my luck can only get better from here.”

With her windfall, Richards plans to pay some bills, save, and take a trip to Sin City.

INSTANT MAJESTIC is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $1 million. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro-Canada on Kingston Road in Pickering.
