Pickering Butter Tart & Hot Sauce festival coming to Esplanade Park

The butter tart trail leads to Pickering on the long weekend and organizers are spicing things up with hot sauce vendors joining the party.
The Pickering Butter Tarts, Hot Sauces & More Market will make its debut at The Esplanade Park in downtown Pickering September 2 for a free event that is expected to attract thousands of fans of the ooey, gooey quintessential Canadian treat, along with hot sauces from several well-known vendors.
The festival will run next Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. IN lieu of admission organizers are asking for donations to the local food bank.
They are also looking for butter tart fans to help pick their favourite butter tarts. Judges will arrive at 11 a.m. and be asked to try classic butter tarts and many unique flavours such as Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip, Nutella, Lemon, Nanaimo, Salted Caramel, Toffee, M&M’s, Blueberry Cheesecake, Turtles, Carmel Glazed Walnut, Pecan, Coconut, Maple Bacon, Raspberry Coconut and more.
