Pickering Farmer’s Market opens season in new location

Pickering City Centre Farmers’ Market officially opened for the season today in a new location – the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex in downtown Pickering.

The market, which will operate out of the north-east parking lot, will be held every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with fresh produce, baked goods, meats and more, along with entertainment for the family.

The farmer’s market will have themes on occasion, starting with Pickering Blooms Giveaway Day today. Next week will be Community and Service Group Day; followed by Pickering Animal Services Day (July 12); Pollinators Day (July 19); Pickering Fire Services Day (August 2); Pickering Library Day (August 9); Grain Discovery Day (August 16); and 55+ Day on September 13.
