Pickering gas station victimized by counterfeit cash fraud

Police are searching for a man who they say used counterfeit currency on multiple occasions at a gas station in Pickering last month.
Police say the 50-ish suspect made purchases with counterfeit cash at the gas station at Liverpool Road and Pickering Parkway on three separate occasions in July.
The suspect is described as Black, approximately 50-years-old, with a thin build, short grey/black hair, and a small grey goatee. He was last seen wearing a black short sleeve shirt with grey striped pattern.
Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst. Kane of the Financial Crimes Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5371.
