The City of Pickering is encouraging residents and businesses to learn more about the budget process and to provide their feedback to the proposed 2022 Draft Capital Budget.

Each year, the City undergoes an extensive budget process to plan for the service, program, and infrastructure needs of the community. Members of the public are encouraged to share their ideas via an online survey (closes March 4), register to speak at the March 17 Executive Committee Meeting (budget deliberations), and learn more about the annual current (operating) and capital budgets at LetsTalkPickering.ca/Budget.

“Engaging the community is an important part of the budget process,” said Mayor Dave Ryan. “It is important that we inform and educate the public about the budget process, highlight challenges around budgeting for the community, and gather feedback and input that can help guide Council’s deliberations and determination of the 2022 municipal budget.”

For comments or questions about the budget, contact the City’s Finance Department at [email protected]. Visit LetsTalkPickering.ca/Budget to register as a user, provide feedback, and be heard.
