It’s website re-design time for the City of Pickering, a project that should help users better navigate pickering.ca and access the online services that “matter most to them.”

From now until the end of April users can share their thoughts on what is working well, current challenges, and suggestions for an improved experience on the City’s website. Feedback collected will be shared with the project team to help in the new design and in navigating the site.

“Our website serves as a vital hub for accessing information about City services, projects, and opportunities for participation in local government,” said Mayor Kevin Ashe. “It is important that the website redesign is reflective of resident’s needs as we work to modernize our digital services.”

Since the last website refresh there have been significant changes in technology and the City needs update the site to “stay current, ensure a modern design, and provide optimal functionality and performance for all users,” Ashe added.

This project is supported by the City’s Digital Strategy, which establishes an organization-wide commitment and clear accountability and actions to pave the way for Pickering’s digital transformation efforts.

The project team will be conducting website navigation testing and content population in the coming months, with the goal of publishing the new website this fall.  Visit LetsTalkPickering.ca/Digital to learn more and receive project updates.
