The LOTTO MAX odds have shone in favour of Ahilan Sivapiragasam of Pickering after the father of three won a MAXMILLIONS prize worth $500,000 in the June 6 LOTTO MAX draw.

Sivapiragasam, 49, says this is his first major win. “I’ve been playing the lottery for over 20 years. I had a few tickets in my car, so I checked them while at the mall. I was so surprised and happy when I saw all the zeroes. I called my wife over to show her and she was so excited too!”

The father of three plans to pay off his mortgage. “This win came at a perfect time,” he smiled. “I always said one day we would win.”

LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won more than $7.9 billion since 2009, including 99 jackpot wins and 859 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on the Run on Eglinton Avenue in Scarborough.
