Police for searching for couple wanted for Pickering restaurant break-in and 18 other crimes

Durham Police are on the hunt for two people wanted for nearly 20 break-ins across the region, including a break-and-enter at a Pickering restaurant in early June.
West Division officers responded to a break-and-enter at a restaurant near Dixie Road and Highway 2 in Pickering’s west end in the early hours of June 8. Police determined a man and a woman broke into the restaurant and stole a safe before fleeing in a white 4-door sedan.
Further investigation identified and linked the two suspects to numerous other break-and-enters across Durham Region.
Jonathan Leigh Allan, a 44-year-old from Newmarket is wanted for 19 counts of break and enter, 19 counts of disguise with intent, 19 counts of breach of probation, eight possession of stolen property (under $5,000) charges, two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, and break-and-enter with intent.
Nicole Bergman, a 38-year-old Toronto resident, is wanted for three break and enter charges, break and enter with intent, four counts of disguise with intent, possession of stolen property under $5,000, operating a vehicle while prohibited and 14 probation violations.
Police are asking for anyone who knows the location of either accused or who has any information about these crimes to contact D/Cst. Dupont of the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2533.
