Police looking for knife-wielding suspect from early morning robbery in Oshawa

A manhunt is underway for suspect police say threatened an employee with a knife during a convenience store robbery in Oshawa early Friday morning.

Durham Police East Division officers responded to an armed robbery call at 4:25 a.m. at the Circle K convenience store on Coldstream Drive in the city’s northeast end.

Police say an unknown male entered the business and approached a clerk while brandishing a large knife. The suspect forced the victim to go behind the front counter and demanded cash from the register before fleeing the area on foot.

The suspect was gone before police arrived. The employee did not sustain any physical injuries.

 

The suspect was wearing a black ski mask, dark hoody, black pants, black gloves, black boots, and had a black backpack. He was described as being about 20 years old.
