Downtown Oshawa

The City of Oshawa is hoping for public feedback on its Official Plan review – a document first prepared in 1985 and amended every five years or as needed.

The Oshawa Official Plan will guide growth in the city and sets out the land use policy directions for long-term growth and development and manages and guides the physical form that growth takes.

The City’s Planning Services department will be releasing a discussion paper on the review to help generate some ideas in mid-April, providing some clarity on the review process and identifying potential themes to be explored.

Oshawa Council will host a meeting dedicated to the Official Plan review on April 30. Residents can also complete a feedback form at ConnectOshawa.ca/OPReview or on paper at Service Oshawa.

Feedback will be received until noon on Friday, May 10 and will be considered in a future report to be presented to the Economic and Development Services Committee.
