Residents warned of parking fine text scam in Oshawa

The City of Oshawa is cautioning residents to beware of text scams asking for payments of parking infractions and other infractions.

Oshawa said in a statement said residents have received “suspicious” text messages asking for payment of outstanding penalties.

“The City of Oshawa does not send text messages about parking violations, tickets or penalties of any kind. If you receive a text message of this nature, do not click on any links or provide personal information.”
