Ribfest is back on the Oshawa waterfront this weekend.
The always popular Oshawa Rotary Ribfest returns for its 22nd incarnation at Lakeview Park Friday through Sunday with seven of the best ribbers in North America on hand to satisfy the most demanding of rib-loving palates.
Last year the event attracted more than 50,000 visitors to sample ribs and other barbecued delicacies, as well as plenty of other food options – including Halal – plus live entertainment, vendors, a craft beer area (sponsored by Brock Street Brewery), activities for children and more.
Aeroforce (Friday), Almost Hip (Saturday) and Two for the Show headline a diverse lineup of music acts at the event.
Admission to the event is free (donations are welcome with all proceeds to charity) and there is free shuttle service to and from the park as well.
The weekend starts at noon on Friday and runs until 11 p.m. Things start cooking again on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
