Robber loses pants while taking jewelry from Pickering woman in her driveway

A woman in Pickering was robbed of her jewelry on her return home but got something in return, her attacker’s pants.
She was pulling into her driveway near Azalea Ave. and Burkholder Dr. shortly after 1 p.m. on Aug. 2. An unidentified man approached the woman as she got out of the car and ripped her jewelry off.
The woman put up a fight and stripped the thief of his shorts and shoes in the resulting struggle. She received some minor wounds in the fight. The suspect ran from the scene, pantsless, to a nearby car. He then took off north on Burkholder Dr.
Durham Regional Police describe the suspect as a Black man aged between 20 and 30. He has a medium build and was wearing a black jacket, white socks and neon green gloves. His getaway car was a black four-door Volkswagen sedan.
