No one wants to be late for school, but Durham Regional Police allege one school bus tried to make it on time by running a stop sign in Bowmanville heading to class on Tuesday morning (Apr. 30).

The school bus with 14 kids was on its way to class when police say it went through a stop sign at the intersection of Aspen Springs and Westside Dr.

“Pay attention to the roads,” the East Division of the Durham police said in a social media post on the X platform.

Police pulled over the school bus and reminded all that it’s important to “keep our kids safe” and “slow down” regardless of what the time is.
