Search continues for SUV involved in Ajax hit-and-run

The search continues for an SUV involved in an Ajax hit-and-run that left a woman seriously injured.

On October 17, Durham Regional Police sent officers to Salem Rd. and Kingston Rd. after receiving reports a woman had been hit by a car.

When they arrived officers found the woman with serious injuries However the car was nowhere in sight. The SUV fled the scene and police have been unable to find it or the driver since.

Investigators described the vehicle as a light blue Toyota Rav4 with a spare tire well on the back. They describe the driver as a white or tanned man, standing between five-foot-four and five-foot-eight. He’s between 40 and 50 years old with a medium build and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and a red Team Canada hat.
