Search underway for missing Whitby man

A man is missing from his Whitby home prompting investigators to ask the public for help.

Alejandro, 59, was last seen Fallingbrook Street and Taunton Road East, according to Durham Police. The area is home to residential neighbourhoods and a large shopping plaza. However, police did not specify when he was last seen.

Investigators believe he’s driving a white 2017 Ford Transit Cargo Van with a missing hubcap. The van’s license plate number is AZ1 2896.

Police describe Alejandro as a Latin American man standing about six feet tall and weighing around 170 pounds.

He was wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt, khakis, and blue shoes when last seen. Police and Alejandro’s family are concerned for his well-being.
