Sexual luring investigation leads to child pornography charges for Whitby man

A Whitby man is in custody after an investigation into the sexual luring of a 14-year-old girl through Facebook messenger.

Durham Police’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit arrested Jordan Hill, 33, on Wednesday after an investigation into sexual luring between February and March.

An analysis of the suspect’s phone confirmed that during that period he requested sexually explicit photos and inappropriate physical contact from the teenager. Further investigation revealed the possibility of other victims.

Hill is charged with numerous offences, including luring a child under 16 to possess child pornography, to make child pornography and for sexual interference, possession of child pornography and making sexually explicit material available for a child.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Police have concerns there may be other victims and are requesting anyone with information to come forward to investigators.
