Shelter-in-Place at Oshawa school lifted after ‘threat’ deemed “unsubstantiated”

An unidentified ‘threat’ at Eastdale Collegiate in Oshawa Thursday morning had the school in Shelter-in-Place mode until Durham Police deemed the threat “unsubstantiated.”

Students remained in the east end high school under supervision while police investigated. A post from the Durham District School Board said the school day will proceed as normal and thanked police for keeping the students and community “safe.”
