Shooting at bar in Oshawa sends one to hospital

Shots rung out last night Sunjday night at a bar in a plaza in Oshawa, sending one man to hospital.
Durham Regional Police were called to Whiskey John’s located at 843 King St. W. at approximately 11:50 p.m. for reports of an armed person inside of the bar.
Officers arrived on scene to find one man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital by Durham Paramedic Services with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Durham police’s forensic unit remained on scene for several hours afterwards conducting an investigation.
There is no suspect description available at this time. Police are looking for any witnesses or anyone with cellphone or dashcam video to come forward.
