Gunshots were fired at the same house in Ajax two days in a row.

Durham Regional Police say the first incident happened shortly after 9 a.m. on Friday (May 17) at a house near Ravenscroft Road and Rossland Road West.

Police say after arriving at the scene, numerous shell casings were located, but no victims were found.

The following day (May 18), officers say they responded to the same house shortly before 3:30 a.m., after receiving reports of shots being fired.

Investigators noted a repetition of the previous day’s findings, observing numerous shell casings in the area with no victims located.

Officers continue to canvass the area and are asking anyone in the community with information to come forward.

A similar shooting took place a day earlier (May 18) in Ajax, just 12 minutes from the recent incident. However, the investigation remains ongoing.

Over the Victoria Day long weekend, Durham Region experienced a total of six shootings: three in Ajax, two in Oshawa, and one in Whitby. Investigators are examining whether these incidents are connected.
