Shots fired at Uxbridge home

An Uxbridge home suffered a terrible wake-up call this morning when several shots were fired into the front of the home.

According to Durham Police, multiple people drove to a home near Deer Ridge Road and Goodwood Road shortly before 5 a.m. Friday. The home sits in the community of Goodwood in Uxbridge Township.

Remaining in the car, they opened fire on the home, striking the front and garage with several rounds. When officers arrived a short time later, they found multiple shell casings and bullet holes in the home. Nobody in the house was hurt.

Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and poses no further risk to the community.
