A Whitby man literally dodged a bullet after shots were fired into his garage last night, striking his jacket but leaving him unharmed.

The man was in the garage of his Waller Street Whitby home just after midnight when someone fired multiple gunshots through the garage door.

Bullets damaged the home and went through the man’s jacket. No one was harmed in the shooting. When police arrived they found shells casings at the house.

Police believe the shooters fled the scene in a getaway car and are investigating.

Investigators are asking for any recordings, either dash-cam or security footage, of the Waller Street and Dryden Boulevard area.
