Shots fired into Ajax home

Another nighttime shooting at a home has been reported in Durham Region, this time in Ajax.

According to Durham Police, gunfire erupted near Wilsongary Circle and Gavin Lane, a suburban cul-de-sac of Salem Road, around 11:30 p.m. last night.

When officers responded to the scene, they found multiple shell casings on the ground. They identified one house with multiple bullet holes. No one has been reported injured.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with video footage to come forward.

The shooting come just days after a similar incident in Oshawa saw 14 rounds fired into a townhouse complex. In this incident, one of the rounds wound up under a child’s bed. The child was not home at the time.
