There were sixteen new COVID-19 cases reported in Durham Region, including six from Oshawa. The numbers are a drop from yesterday’s 20 but still much higher than the three and five new cases reported to start the week.

Active cases total 82.

The good news is both institutional outbreaks are over. All affected residents – including ten at White Cliffe Terrace retirement home in Courtice – are considered resolved. There are just three schools in Durham reporting outbreaks that have not been completely resolved. Outbreaks at Da Vinci Public School in Ajax, Eagle Ridge Public School in Oshawa and Meadowcrest Public School in Brooklin are reporting five students isolating between them.

Nine students at Pringle Creek Public School had been isolating but all are now considered resolved.

There remains one institutional outbreak.

Vaccinate rates for 12-plus, full vaccinated, have now his the 82 per cent mark.
