Snow squall warning in effect for Uxbridge and northern Durham

Snow squalls are possible this afternoon and tonight in Uxbridge, Brock, and the rest of northern Durham.

Heavy snow will combine with strong northwesterly winds that could result in reduced visibility while travelling due to blowing snow.

Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible.

“Travel will likely become difficult and motorists are advised to exercise caution,” says Environment Canada.

The snow squalls are expected to persist until Sunday morning.
