Some Oshawa residents will see a decreased energy bill starting on Nov. 1.
In a report today (Oct. 30) Oshawa Power noted that the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) announced new electricity rates for customers operating parallel to the province’s Regulated Pricing Plan (RPP).
Residential and small commercial clients with Oshawa Power that are enrolled in Time-of-Use (TOU) or Ultra Low Overnight (ULO) plans under the RPP will see electricity prices drop in accordance with the upcoming winter schedule.
Additional details surrounding rates and billing under the new Regulated Pricing Plan and its impact on Time-of-Use and Ultra-Low Overnight customers can be found on Oshawa Power’s official website.
Pricing periods for electricity use switch to the winter schedule are anticipated to be in effect until May 2025.
