The immaculate grounds of Parkwood Estate’s south lawn will be the site for the Spring Fest Vendor Market this weekend, possibly the prettiest vendor market in Durham Region.
More than 60 vendors will be at Parkwood on June 3 and admission is free for the event, which will run from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. VIP patrons can get in a half-hour early (for a $20 fee), which also entitles them (if they’re among the first 60 or so) to a free swag bag, valued at $50.
“Our goal is to encourage people to enjoy the outdoors and discover what Durham has to offer by focusing on showcasing unique, high-quality local vendors and artisans,” Filomena Lowry, Parkwood National Historic Site’s Special Events Coordinator, said last year in promoting the event. “Supporting local has never been more important.”
Hand-made crafts, jewelry, artworks of all varieties and delicious baked goods will be among the products available at the market.
There is no parking on site, but paid parking is available at the hospital next door, as well as local streets where available.
