Stabbing in Ajax leads to charges for Oshawa man

A fight in Ajax that ended with the stabbing of one of the participants.
The victim was in a parking lot near Taunton Road West and Westney Road North, an area home to a large commercial plaza, on Sept. 24. Around 6 p.m. three men approached the victim.
The four got into a physical fight resulting in one of the trio stabbing the victim, Durham Police report. He suffered serious injuries though they were not life-threatening. He was quickly rushed to a Toronto trauma centre.
However, all suspects had vanished by the time first responders arrived. Officers investigated the scene and identified a suspect. They arrested this man shortly after 10:30 p.m.
Hakim J. William, 25 of Oshawa, is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. He’s since been released with conditions.
