Store clerk assaulted in Pickering- Durham Police asking for public’s help

Durham Regional Police are asking the public to help identify a man who assaulted a store employee in Pickering two weeks ago.

On March 12 at 7:08 p.m., DRPS attended 321 Brock Street South in Whitby.  A male entered the store and became involved in an altercation with a store employee.  The male then picked up items in the store and began to throw them at the employee, he then punched him in the back.  The male fled the location and has yet to be identified or located.  

Video footage captured the male leaving the store.  Investigators are looking for assistance identifying the individual.  

The suspect is described as Black, 30-35 years, black brush cut hair wearing a blue sweater, grey jeans, white/grey Nike basketball running shoes and winter jacket with a fur hood. 

The employee suffered minor injuries.
