Summer must be peeking just over the horizon with the news that two of Oshawa’s splash pads open Wednesday and that lifeguard staffing at the Lakeview Park beaches is but a month away.
Splash pads at Delpark Homes Centre in the north end and at Lakeview Park open today (May 15), with the rest of Oshawa’s splash pads opening for the season next week on May 22.
The City’s splash pads operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Labour Day (September 2), with hours extended to dusk during heat alerts.
Lakeview Park beach will be staffed with lifeguards beginning Monday, June 17, between 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and continuing until Monday, September 2 (weather permitting).
Camp Samac outdoor pool will open for the season on Monday, June 24, with the outdoor pool season running until Monday, September 2.
