Suspect at large after Ajax convenience store robbery

A suspect remains at large after robbing an Ajax convenience store of lottery tickets yesterday evening and spraying the clerk with pepper spray in the process.
The man entered the Food Mart convenience store on Westney Road around 6:30 p.m. March 20 armed with a knife and pepper spray. He demanded cash from the clerk before spraying him with the pepper spray.
The suspect stole a wad of lottery tickets and fled the store. Police were dispatched at 6:40 p.m. and the clerk was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries caused by the irritant.
DRPS describes the suspect as a white man between ages 25 and 35 with a slim build standing 6 feet tall. He wore a black jacket with grey sleeves, a hooded sweater, a black shirt, jeans and blue Nike shoes.
