Suspect wanted after shots fired in broad daylight in Ajax

Police are on the hunt for a suspect involved in a daylight shooting in Ajax.
Durham Regional Police responded to the area near Lankester Lane and Drake Lane shortly before 4:30 p.m. yesterday (May 18) after receiving reports of sounds resembling gunfire.
Police say after arriving at the scene, numerous shell casings were located, but no victims were found.
Investigators believe that a dispute took place between a group of men and a lone individual, during which the lone person reportedly fired multiple shots at the group in response to the altercation.
Officials have not provided details further details leading up to the shooting.
Officers continue to canvass the area and are asking anyone in the community with information to come forward.
There is currently no image of the wanted suspect; however, police have gathered a description of the individual they are searching for.
The accused is described as a Black man with a medium build. He was last seen wearing black clothing and a black mask.
