Suspected impaired driver arrested near Cannington

A suspected drunk driver was arrested yesterday evening after rear-ending another vehicle and winding up in a ditch in Brock Township,

Durham Police arrived at the scene of an accident in the Simcoe Street and Glen Street area near Cannington.

Police allege a Richmond Hill woman, 41, was driving a white Toyota when she collided with the rear of an SUV.

She faces charges of impaired driving, refusing a breath test, and driving with alcohol and cannabis available in the car.

The woman was released with conditions and had her license suspended for 90 days.
