Suspects at large after early downtown Oshawa stabbing

Several suspects remain at large after a stabbing early this morning in downtown Oshawa.

Multiple people attacked the victim near Simcoe Street South and Gibb Street around 5 a.m. on Sept. 17, Durham Police report.

The area is often busy even at that time of morning as a major Oshawa artery and home to several businesses. It’s also home to the Durham Alternative High School.

The group of suspects got into a physical fight, during which the victim was stabbed. His wound is serious but is not considered life-threatening. He’s since been treated at the Oshawa hospital.

All the suspects scattered from the scene before police arrived.
