Officers with Durham Regional Police North Division stopped a driver last week speeding through Brock on a suspended license.

The driver was clocked speeding at 101 km/h in a 60 zone near Regional Road 13 and Sideline 17 just to the west of Blackwater in the Township of Brock.

The officer who clocked the driver conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was unable to show a valid license or insurance.

The driver, a 47-year-old man from out of the area, was on a suspended licence when he was stopped. He’s been charged with speeding, stunt driving, two counts of driving while suspended and driving without insurance.

His vehicle and his trailer have been impounded for 14 days, an automatic measure after a stunt driving charge.
