Suspicious package left at Pickering GO prompts search for owner

A search is underway for the owner of a package left at the Pickering GO station police investigated as suspicious.

The package was left behind at the station shortly before 5 p.m. on Jun. 4, prompting a call to Durham Regional Police. Officers soon arrived and found the package. They called in the Explosive Disposal Unit to investigate, which concluded the package was not an explosive.

However, investigators have not shared what was in the package.
