Taylor Swift-themed swims at Clarington pool Friday

Calling all swimming Swifties: The Eras Swim – Clarington’s version – is happening Friday at the Diane Hamre Recreation Complex in Newcastle.

Clarington is hosting two Taylor Swift-themed swims on July 26, with regular drop-in fees. There is a limited capacity and though the pop superstar most certainly won’t be donning trunks for a splash, the pool is likely to fill up fast, as recreation staff are expecting a lot of interest.

There will be a Taylor Swift playlist on the pool deck, a photobooth wall, friendship bracelets that will be handed out by staff, along with stickers and tattoos for the swimmers.

More Swifty-themed swims are scheduled for Tuesday, August 6 and Thursday, August 22 at the Courtice Community Complex. Both events will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The drop-in swims are first come, first admitted, but there will be activities in the lobby to keep people entertained if they can’t get into the swim and decide to wait.
