The first stunt driving ticket of the day from Durham Police, who are out in full force making sure the kids get to school safely, goes to … a teacher!
Police caught one driver – a teacher on her way to school – going 90 km/hr in a 50 km/hr community safety zone in Oshawa, where fines are doubled. Numerous charges were laid.
Social media comment on the arrest were mixed, with some saying teachers should know better to speed on the first day of school, while others condemned police for singling out the drivers’ occupation.
