Teen arrested with pistol at Ajax motel

Police claim a teenage boy was arrested with a loaded pistol at an Ajax motel.

According to Durham Police, they received reports of an armed boy at the 210 Westney Road Super 8 Motel on June 19. Officers responded to the area and found a 17-year-old Oshawa boy who they say was carrying a loaded Glock pistol.

The teen has since been arrested and charged with two firearm possession charges. He was held until a bail hearing. The Youth Criminal Justice Act protects his identity.
